Progressive house music is a form of electronic dance music that is sometimes called progressive or house music but also trance which could be classed in same category.
As well as being a great art form necessary as part of our culture both for entertainment and social value, music is also used regularly as a form of expression. It shows the depth and range that music transcends. Its diversity, adaptability and variety make it an art form that offers something to everyone, both the varying forms of listeners to music and performers of music. When it comes to music, meaning is very important, which is why so much thought is given towards lyrics and the way in which the lyrics fit in with the melody.
As a result, it has a lot in common with other art forms such as writing – specifically poetry. If a song has bad lyrics, it is often scrutinised even if the overall song itself is celebrated.
But at the end of the day, music would be nothing if people did not listen to it. There are various ways of enjoying music, either by turning on the radio, listening to a CD or mp3 player or witnessing a live show. You can even hear it involuntarily, in film soundtracks, waiting rooms and on the internet where it can sometimes be used as background music on websites.
